Terms of Service

Last updated July 3, 2026

Agreement

By joining the Ortho private beta or using the Ortho app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the beta. These terms apply to the pre-release software offered during the beta described below.

The beta

Ortho is pre-release software offered free during a private, invite-only beta. It's provided for evaluation. Features may change, and access may be granted, limited, or revoked at our discretion. No fee is charged during the beta. Ortho runs on Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 26 — we make no promises about any other platform.

Your license to use Ortho

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use Ortho on your own Apple Silicon Mac for the duration of the beta. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or present the beta as your own. We retain all intellectual-property rights in Ortho.

Feedback

Any feedback you send us about the beta is voluntary, and we may use it to improve Ortho without obligation or compensation to you. You keep your own ideas — this covers product feedback about Ortho, nothing more.

Acceptable use

Use Ortho lawfully and as intended. Don't misuse it, interfere with its operation, or use it to violate anyone else's rights.

Health disclaimer

Ortho is a wellness and informational aid, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and its posture signals are estimates, not medical advice. Don't rely on Ortho for medical decisions — consult a qualified professional for any health concern.

Privacy

Your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: the app runs on-device and sends nothing over the network, and the only data this website collects is the email you give us for the beta.

No warranty

The beta is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As pre-release software it may contain bugs, be interrupted, lose data, or be discontinued. Use it at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the beta. Because the beta is provided free of charge, our total liability is limited accordingly.

Changes & termination

We may modify, suspend, or end the beta — and update these terms — at any time. When we change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above; where practical, we'll let beta participants know about material changes. You may stop using the beta at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
